Levi’s jeans were originally made from hemp.

According to Levi’s, they were made from cotton. Hemp promoters just made this one up out of thick air.

    Levi’s corporate history says that they got their fabric from the Amoskeag Manufacturing Company in Manchester, New Hampshire. Amoskeag was the biggest fabric manufacturer in the US for much of the 19th century. They used cotton and wool, but not hemp.
